MANILA (UPDATED) - Blacklist International on Tuesday overcame a late-night tiebreaker round to secure an upper bracket slot in the M4 World Championship playoffs in Jakarta, Indonesia.

After drawing two straight wins in the group stages, Blacklist fizzled out against Myanmar squad Falcon, coached by Pinoy Steven "Dale" Vitug.

Blacklist lost anew against Falcon, before eking out a win against Incendio Supremacy anew to get the lower bracket slot.

With the results, Blacklist remain unfazed as they secured the major objective of having a twice-to-beat incentive.

"As long as we have the upper bracket. I think the two losses will contribute learnings towards the upper bracket.," captain Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna said.

With Blacklist, Falcon, and Turkish squad Incendio Supremacy having identical 2-1 records, they all had to undergo a tiebreaker round-robin matchup.

Due to the tiebreaker results Blacklist will end their Group A run on top 2 of the standings, with Falcon taking the top spot.

Onic, Kairi secure upper bracket slot

Meanwhile, Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol and Onic Esports are through to the upper bracket, bouncing back from their opening-day loss and sweeping their Day 3 matches.

Onic Esports first pummeled Argentinian squad Malvinas Gaming, before drawing the last win against Vietnam's MDH Esports.
