A tragic incident involving a family from the Philippines in Baldwin Park, California, has left three family members dead, including two children, in what police describe as a brutal stabbing attack.

Authorities have arrested a 23-year-old male suspect, who is believed to be related to the victims.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victims as 8-year-old Mia Chantelle Narvaez, 16-year-old Paul Sebastian Manangan, and 44-year-old Rona Nate.

All three victims sustained fatal stab wounds to the upper body.

According to a press release by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Baldwin Park police responded to a disturbance call on the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue on the evening of December 26.

The suspect attempted to flee in a vehicle but crashed into a cul-de-sac before being detained. He was later booked for murder.

Out of respect for the victims’ families, authorities have not disclosed the exact nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victims.

However, investigators confirmed that the suspect lived at the residence.
