MANILA — The government on Friday offered some 3,000 job vacancies to graduates of poverty reduction programs at a job fair.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. attended the ‘Trabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan sa Bagong Pilipinas’ in Dasmariñas City.

Some 3,000 job seekers from graduates of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4PS) and Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) beneficiaries joined the event spearheaded by the labor department.

Around 3,600 job vacancies were offered from 41 employers consisting of 38 local and three overseas companies.

The event featured a one-stop shop for employment pre-screening and other services provided by various national government agencies.

Meanwhile, the labor department distributed P5,600 each to 500 beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

The agency awarded livelihood and financial aid to beneficiaries under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).

The Department of Health offered screening laboratory services, medical consultations, and vaccinations, among others.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development distributed P3,000 to each AICS beneficiary.

“Kadiwa” stalls of the agriculture department sold affordable goods during the event, where the National Food Authority offered rice at P29 and P35 per kilo.

Marcos noted the importance of the whole-of-government approach in delivering services to the people.
