MANILA — Several government officials on Friday shared the list of issues they wish President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. would tackle on his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.

"The industry has been plagued by criminal activities, and the social costs far outweigh the revenues. It is time for a clear policy on POGOs, whether it involves an immediate ban or a phased transition to other industries for affected workers," Zubiri said.

"Sana ang ating Pangulo, masabi na ang 2025 election [ay] importante... Naniniwala ako na magsasama ang Pangulo ng kahit man lang isang statement na magsasabing, ang Pilipino, dapat mag-participate sa 2025 elections. Huwag sasayangin ang boto ng bawat isa,” Garcia said.

“As a citizen... palagay ko ang dapat talagang pagtuunan ng pansin, two key aspects. One is poverty alleviation, dahil talaga pong kailangan tukoy yun. Pangalawa naman, para sa kinabukasan, paano ihahanda ang kabataan, o ang kinabukasan ng ating kabataan,” said Herminio Coloma, who served during the two Aquino administrations.
“As a citizen... palagay ko ang dapat talagang pagtuunan ng pansin, two key aspects. One is poverty alleviation, dahil talaga pong kailangan tukoy yun.
