We’re just halfway through 2024 but it seems like we have already seen the best that Filipino brands could offer. From on-the-go multi-use sticks, longwearing blushes, cute and irresistible packaging, and all-in-one palettes — these local makeup brands prove to be at par with high-end ones.

ABS-CBN News compiled some of the crowd favorites and must-try makeup releases for your reference:

Vice Co x Jelly Eugenio

Starting strong with a powerhouse collaboration, Vice Co partnered with one of the most sought-after Filipino makeup artists, Jelly Eugenio, the person behind the flawless faces of Catriona Gray, Anne Curtis, and Nadine Lustre, for a full-face palette.

The “W’Ever” palette, which is composed of different formulas like cream, powder, and shimmers, comes in two variants: “Pretty Sweet,” which showcases a cohesive pink color story, and “Pretty Sexy,” which has flattering peachy tones.

With whooping 4 million sales, this got sold out within 3 hours after it was officially released.

Definitely an all-in-one palette for daily to full glam looks.

ISSY x Slo Lopez

Another banger from Issy is a collaboration with makeup artist and the brand’s “Creative Visionary,” Slo Lopez. Believing in the power of makeup for transformation and self-expression, they came up with 24 new colorful eyeshadow shades of their existing customizable Pressed Shadow Single — definitely every creative’s dream weapon.

This comes in 12 bold and pigmented bright mattes and 12 multidimensional light reflecting shifting chromes, respectively called as the curated sets in “SCREAM” and “SURREAL.”

GRWM Cosmetics Glam & Go Stix

Swipe, blend, and you’re good to go. This is the promise of this versatile and on the go multi-use stick, the Glam & Go Stix. With different shades and undertones for its blush, contour, and bronzer, these beauty sticks can be used on the lids, cheeks, and lips — a literal time and space saver as you won’t need different products for each step of your makeup.

Released during summer, this cream product boasts on its buildability, blendability, and longevity even under the sun, further proving that this is suitable for the hot and humid Philippine weather.

Chuchu Beauty Heart Paint and Lip Pods

If there is one thing Chuchu Beauty is known for, it is pigment and irresistible packaging.

The Heart Paint, a liquid blush, has a cute heart-shaped component, making each makeup session a pleasurable experience. But don’t get fooled! This may look cute, but this is a monster in pigment and longevity. This is perfect for students wanting to beat “school air” and for the young-at-heart who want to fulfill their inner child’s desire.

The Lip Pods, a lipstick duo housed in a component similar to an airpods, is a creamy and lightweight lipstick formula perfect for beginners. This also has a chain so you can hook it in your bags, making retouching easy and accessible.

Sunnies Face Lash Seeker

After “countless” requests for a waterproof mascara, Sunnies Face finally dropped their own fool-proof mascara, the Lash Seeker. Claiming to have an ultra-thin wand with 800 bristles, this lengthens the lashes in the most natural way without making it look clumpy. This can stand the Philippine weather as this does not budge and smudge even after a whole day of wear.
