Photo from Nectar Nightclub’s Facebook pageMANILA — Popular queer venue Nectar Nightclub announced Sunday its closure at The Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig beginning next year.

In a Facebook post, Nectar cited the upcoming closure of The Fort as a reason for its own closure starting January 2025.

“Nectar Nightclub will be closing its doors at the end of the year. Due to The Fort’s upcoming closure, our final night of operation will be December 31st,” Nectar said in the post.

“It’s the end of an era, but also a moment to celebrate the unforgettable experiences we’ve shared,” it said.

However, the club said it had begun planning its "next chapter" called "Nectar 3.0." Management did not give details.

Nectar expressed gratitude to its customers, especially the LGBT community, who treated the place as their second home.

“Nectar Nightclub first opened in October 2016, creating a safe, vibrant queer space that quickly grew into a community. In September 2019, we unveiled Nectar 2.0, a bold upgrade securing our position as the premium LGBT clubbing venue in the nation,” the bar said.

“Through every beat, every celebration, and every friendship made, Nectar has been more than just a nightclub—it’s been a second home for all of us,” it added.

“To honor these memories, we’re hosting a series of farewell events to relive our best moments together.”

• Dec. 28- The Final Saturday

• Dec. 29 - Last Dance- The Official Closing Party

• Dec. 30 - TBA

• Dec 31 - New Years Eve 2025 (Final Night)

Nectar Nightclub is known for its local drag competition “Drag Cartel” where winners like Minty Fresh, Marina Summers, O-A and other competitors went on to compete in drag reality competition series like “Drag Race Philippines” and “Drag Den Philippines.”
