Nick Carter of the '90s boy band Backstreet Boys is coming back to Manila for a show on March 30 at the New Frontier Theater. 

ABS-CBN News caught up with Carter for a quick chat and the shared the magic why their fandom is still strong. 

“I think it’s the feeling that we give them every time that they see us or hear our music. It reminds them of really great time in their lives. That’s the nostalgia that people still search for to this day,” he said.

“We had great songs, a lot of hit records, we had really great show and good performances. We care about our fans, our performances, our legacy.

“The acknowledgement of how we love them because they have given us this incredible career in life and we never take that for granted and we always acknowledge that with them. Those things paired together really keep the fans here with us,” said Carter.

This solo concert in Manila was first scheduled last May 2024, but got cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances," according to the local promoter.

Carter, together with the rest of the Backstreet Boys, performed at the Manila leg of their DNA World Tour back in 2023.

Asked what he remembers most about his last Manila visit, he said, “I remember it being a lot of fun. We’ve gone to this restaurant, I can’t remember the name, you can feel the excitement just everywhere we went. We went to any place where people would recognize us. And I just remember the show being massive and just really well-received.”

He added, “Every time we go back to Manila, there’s just this great love, feeling of love, just genuine love for us. Makes me want to continue to go back again. The Philippines is a place where I want to spend more time and go visit more places and do more things.”

The Manila leg of Nick Carter’s “Who Am I 2025” World Tour is happening on March 30, 2025 at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
