Filipino volleyball star Alyssa Valdez has her sights set on a goal beyond the court to help nurture young talents and further grow volleyball in the Philippines.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines, Alyssa shared that her ultimate dream is to create a school dedicated to teaching and developing aspiring volleyball players.

"As of now, my ultimate dream would be able to have a volleyball school so that I'm able to actually help also and teach kids pa rin, para mas mag-grow 'yung volleyball at mas marami tayong talents na makita dito sa Philippines and eventually be known all over the world," she said.

Alyssa, who has been a pillar of Philippine volleyball for years, also considers giving back to the sport one of her biggest achievements.

"Aside from making my parents happy and proud, I would like to add to my achievements siguro that I'm able to give back to the volleyball community by teaching young kids how to play volleyball," she relayed.

In a previous interview with Gretchen Ho on One PH's Morning Matters, Alyssa reassured fans that she has no plans of stepping away from the sport anytime soon, promising to continue playing for years to come.

"As of now I would want to say that I'm getting better talaga. I'm recovering well from my injuries. I'm doing the best I can para mas matagal pa ako makapaglaro ,so I would say you will see me more often, you will see more of Alyssa in the next few years," she remarked.

When asked about the kind of legacy she hopes to build as an athlete, Alyssa emphasized her perseverance and passion for the sport.

"I think gusto ko lang maalala ng mga tao sa akin na I'm the type of player na who never gives up. And gusto ko maalala nila na ang saya pala ng volleyball 'pag pinapanood nila ako," she said.
