MANILA -- Singer Arnel Pineda effortlessly belted out "Don't Stop Believin'" in a video with Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy, days after the frontman of American rock band Journey struggled to perform the same song at Rock in Rio.

The clip shows a smiling Pineda smoothly hitting the song's high notes as Jo Koy cheered for him after.

In his Sept. 15 performance in Rio de Janeiro, Pineda had struggled with his in-ear monitors and had difficulty performing "Don't Stop Believin'" with the crowd.

"No one more than me in this world feels so devastated about this," he said on Instagram after the performance.

Pineda then invited Journey's fans to vote on whether he should stay in the legendary band. But he mostly received support in the comments section of his Instagram post.

In a new post on Thursday morning, Pineda told his supporters, "[I] just wanna thank you all once again for the overwhelming and very heartening words of support you all have been sending my way."

"From my heart and from my soul, I know what I feel and see…WE ARE WHERE WE ARE SUPPOSEDTO BE," he added.

Aside from fans and friends, Journey's drummer Deen Castronovo and keyboardist Jonathan Cain also expressed their support for Pineda following his Brazil performance.

"You’re not going anywhere! Love you and grateful for you 🙏🏻🔥," Cain told the band's main vocalist.

Earlier this month on his birthday, Pineda thanked Journey for being with him for the last 17 years.

The band is behind the hits "Open Arms," Faithfully," and "Don't Stop Believin.'"

Born and raised in Manila, Pineda joined Journey as its lead vocalist in 2007, after members of the long-running rock band found clips of the Pinoy pride singing their hits on video-sharing site YouTube.

Pineda, who replaced Journey's original vocalist Steve Perry, has since gone on tour with the band and was featured in film chronicling his rise to fame.
