This development was announced Monday by SEVENTEEN's label Pledis Entertainment through a notice on fan community platform Weverse, detailing Jeonghan and Jun's activities for the remaining months of 2024.

Apart from their absence in the "Right Here" tour, the two will miss most of the group's promotional activities for their upcoming 12th extended play (EP), scheduled to drop in October.

"Jeonghan is due to fulfill his military obligation in the second half of 2024," Pledis said in the Weverse notice.

The agency said Jeonghan prepared content in advance for his absence, but he will still meet fans through a "previously announced fan signing event and Lollapalooza Berlin."

Pledis did not reveal the date of Jeonghan's enlistment, saying further details "will be provided later in a separate notice."

Jeonghan will become the first of the 13-member band, known for songs such as "Very Nice" and "Hot," to fulfill his military service, which South Korea requires of men under 30 due to tensions with the nuclear-armed North.

Meanwhile, Jun, who starred in the romance series "Exclusive Fairytale" last year, will "pursue acting and other opportunities in China during the latter half of this year," Pledis said.

"Like Jeonghan, Jun has completed filming for content that could be prepared in advance," it said.

The Chinese idol will also be unable to participate in Lollapalooza Berlin, music show appearances for SEVENTEEN's upcoming EP, and the "Right Here" world tour.

SEVENTEEN, one of K-pop's most commercially successful acts in recent years, last visited the Philippines in January for its "Follow" tour.

As of writing, the group has not unveiled the Asia stops for its upcoming "Right Here" tour.
