MANILA -- Singer-songwriter mrld has released her newest single “Sandali” on various music streaming platforms on Friday, June 21.

The single, according to the 19-year-old Cebuana singer, explores the theme of asking someone to stay while keeping the relationship “low-key” and out of the public eye.

Mrld also shared that the track was highly inspired by “All Night,” a song by one of her favorite K-pop groups, BTS.

Before the drop date, “Sandali” had gained popularity on TikTok. 

Mrld, who is part of the O/C Records roster alongside other OPM hitmakers Adie, Kean Cipriano, and Unique Salonga, is one of the most-streamed female OPM artists, with 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Her single “An Art Gallery Could Never Be As Unique As You” has already garnered over 150.8 million streams, while “Ligaya” has almost 112 million streams. 

Her discography also includes the songs  "Ligaya,"  "Ikaw Pa Rin,"  and "Lihim," which was released last February. 

Earlier this year, she was honored as Spotify RADAR Artist of the Year 2023.

Last May, she represented the Philippines at CONNX Off The Weekend Festival 2024 in Malang, Indonesia, where she was the sole Filipina act in the lineup.
