This October, there's so much quality K-content to keep us happy and inspired—and we couldn't be any more grateful!

We're giving a warm welcome to the K-dramas and Korean variety shows arriving on Viu this October. From Viu Original The Law Cafe, starring Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young, and brand new drama starring Han Hi Hyun and Bae In Hyuk called Cheer Up, to the highly addictive, GV-only Young Actors' Retreat with our K-drama hunky favorites Park Seo Joon, Ji Chang Wook, Hwang In Youp, and Park Bo-Gum.

The three teams of 'Young Actors' Retreat'—a Korean variety show on Viu that we've been loving so far

Below, we list the three K-dramas we're keeping tabs on, plus the four Korean variety shows we are looking forward to the most this month on Viu.

The Law Cafe - Based on webcomic 'Beobdaero Saranghara” written by No Seung-A, The Law Cafe marks Lee Seung-gi's much awaited return to our screens! He plays Kim Jung-Ho, an extremely smart man, who used to work as a prosecutor, but had quit his job after his father's corruption scandal came out.KBS

The Law Cafe - Since then, he's been unemployed and living off the rent collected from a building he owns, while also living on the rooftop of the building. Kim Jung-Ho is good friends with Kim Yoo-Ri (Lee Se-Young). They have been friends since they were high school students about 17 years ago. Kim Jung-Ho has held a crush on Kim Yoo-Ri for a long time.

The Law Cafe - A beautiful and smart woman, Yoo-Ri is driven by justice but has her heart closed off due to a past experience with an ex. Quitting her job at a law firm, she opens a law cafe in the building Jung-ho owns, with the cafe serving coffee and legal advice!KBS, Viu

Cheer Up - Do Hae-Yi (Han Ji-Hyun) is a student at Yeonhee University. She is a bright and diligent person. Because of her family's poor financial situation, she places a priority on making money rather than school. One day, Do Hae-Yi suddenly joins cheering squad Teyia. She only joins the club for money. The cheering squad has existed for 50 years at Yeonhee University.

Cheer Up - While participating in the cheering squad, Do Hae-Yi experiences the joy of campus life and meets various people from Teyia including Park Jung-Woo (Bae In-Hyuk), Jin Sun-Ho (Kim Hyun-Jin), Tae Cho-Hee (Jang Gyu-Ri), Joo Sun-Ja (Lee Eun-Saem ) and Bae Young-Woong (Yang Dong-Geun). Bae Young-Woong was once a member of Teyia and he is an alumnus of Yeonhee University. He supports the cheering squad financially and emotionally.Cheer Up arrives on Viu on October 4.

The Empire - Veteran actors Kim Sun-a, Ahn Jae-wook, Lee Mi-sook and Song Young-chang come together for this exciting series that depicts the scandalous scandals of the nation's top law-abiding aristocrats dreaming of hereditary succession.

The Empire - The tag line of the drama goes: 'It's always tempting to be greedy.' and boy, that has us intrigued! The Empire arrived on Viu on September 24 and drops every Saturday and Sunday.

Young Actors' Retreat - We are obsessed with this ongoing South Korean variety show, planned by Kim Seong-yoon, featuring the cast members of Kim's previously directed television series Love in the Moonlight (2016), Itaewon Class (2020), and The Sound of Magic (2022).

Young Actors' Retreat - In one of the super fun episodes, the teams get together to open up an outdoor bar!

House on Wheels 4 - Three actors travel across South Korea in a wheeled house and invite guests to stay with them for a night or two. For the fourth season, Rowoon (The King's Affection, Tomorrow) joins—and we are so excited!

Street Man Fighter - Premiered on Mnet, this second season of SMF—a South Korean dance competition franchise of the same name—is promising to be a thrilling one!

EXchange 2 - A dating reality program that will form a consensus about the breakup that everyone experiences at least once, such as reuniting with an ex-lover or meeting new people.
