After we’ve seen Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s kilig moments in the romantic-comedy film “An Inconvenient Love”, we couldn’t help but want to recount and recreate their romantic scenes made even more unforgettable by IKEA.

While there’s no quick and easy way to find young love like that of Donny and Belle’s respective characters, Manny and Ayef, there is a convenient place to help build core memories that could last a lifetime.

As seen in one of DonBelle’s iconic scenes, Manny and Ayef went on an improvised date at the IKEA store in Pasay City. There was no denying that their romance continued to blossom as they played house at the largest store of the Swedish furniture retailer.

And who can forget that scene where Manny teases Ayef to join him in the shower? It’s a joke that would be quite fun to take, if one’s bathroom is as inviting and as cool as the pretend-bathroom they were playing in.

Of course, the couple had a romantic moment in a bedroom set up, surrounded by relaxing sheets and pillows in pastel hues, as well as fixtures that make the space even more inviting.

Speaking of real deals in recreating the look of these spaces, the scene where Ayef discovered Manny’s serious aspiration of being a business owner just hit us right in the feels. When Manny let Ayef into his boutique plant shop, that was his way of welcoming her into his world — a world of genuine passion and lots of plants!

Directed by Petersen Vargas, and written by Enrico Santos and Daisy Cayanan, "An Inconvenient Love" follows the story of Ayef, a convenience store staffer who dreams of becoming an international animator, and Manny, a boutique plant shop owner by day and secret social activist by night.

Both believing that love is just another inconvenience, they agree to a contractual love with an expiration date. As the dreaded expiration date nears, will they end their contractual relationship or will love end their inconvenient beliefs?

“An Inconvenient Love” is now showing in theaters, both locally and internationally.
