Sabrina Carpenter released her much-anticipated album Short n' Sweet on Friday, August 23.

The singer penned a message on social media on the album's release day.

"I feel extremely lucky that each time I write a new record, I learn a little bit more about myself, and can create from that place," she wrote.

She described creating Short n' Sweet as "one of the most special, honest, up and down, stupid and fun experiences of my life."

She further highlighted: "I thought if something was funny enough to make me laugh then maybe it belonged in a song. Happy or sad!"

The pop star expressed her gratitude to her team for helping her produce the album.

"Thank you to my brilliant talented friends, writers, producers, mixers, engineers, and creative minds that helped me bring this world and these songs to life. Not a serious thought was thunk yet somehow they were.. lol I love you all and am so grateful," she remarked. "I will keep this short n sweet buuuut more soon. Go listen now and I hope you love it.”

Short n' Sweet is the sixth studio album of Sabrina. It contains 12 tracks.

Prior to the release of the record, Sabrina released two singles "Espresso" and "Please Please Please".

Both singles reached the top of the Billboard Global 200 chart.

"Espresso" became her first number one hit in the United Kingdom, while "Please Please Please" achieved the same milestone in the United States.

In June, the singer announced that she will headline the Short n' Sweet tour in North America starting September.

In an interview with Variety in early August, Sabrina shared that her new album is inspired by old Hollywood.

"I love the faces of the '60s and '90s — old Hollywood, flirty and fun. This is definitely the vibe of my album," she relayed.

The singer shared that she was able to finish the album before "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" became hits.

"I’m so happy I finished this album before any of the songs came out. Not that I think I would have let [the singles’ success] get in my head. But I really do think sometimes you can’t help but write from a different perspective after experiencing certain life events," she explained.

"I’m trying to avoid calling this 'my dream album,' because I don’t think I would have been able to dream up this set of songs a couple years ago," she added.
