Award-winning actress and comedian Eugene Domingo, Janice de Belen and Tommy Abuel are also part of the exciting roster of actors in the film.

The teaser shows an old house where a number of people were praying for a deceased family member named Pablo. As they carry Pablo’s coffin, the scene changes to Lorna and Judy Ann inside the house where the former said that the soul of the deceased is still roaming around the place of the living. It also revealed a scary black entity that haunts the members of the family.

“Hindi pa alam ng kaluluwa kung saan siya rin siya pupunta. Hindi pa rin siya natatahimik,” Lorna scarily said.

“Nandito siya? Kasama natin?” Judy Ann asked.

In the latter part of the teaser, they also revealed that the English translation of the film title is “Scarecrow”.

In a previous photo post, Quantum films gave a snippet of what the film’s synopsis is in their caption: “Every family has its secrets. Some, more sinister than others.”

The film was written by award-winning writer Chris Martinez. The official date of showing for cinemas has yet to be announced, as of this writing.

In the comment section, netizens expressed excitement at seeing the cast of the much-awaited film.

Other fans also wished the film to be part of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival official entries, saying: “Makapasok sa MMFF sana surebol blockbuster hit.”

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Judy Ann shared her high hopes of the then yet to be revealed horror film with Direk Chito.

“I am hoping na matuloy 'yung movie namin ni direk Chito, ang tagal na naming hindi nakakagawa ng pelikula, ang tagal ko na ring hindi nakakagawa ng horror film and my last movie for MMFF was 'Mindanao' and that was five years ago, so hindi ko akalain na it's the 50th year of Metro Manila Film Festival so it's very very special and pinagdarasal ko pa rin na sana matuloy kasi it's nice to be part of that historical event," she remarked.

Last July, lawyer and producer Joji Alonso shared how excited she was about the film concept, the script, working with Direk Chito, and being with such a star-studded cast.

“The concept for this film was shared to me in between acupuncture needles at Ricky Lee’s place. When @direk_chris_martinez completed the second and final draft of the script, I couldn’t help but gush over it like a newbie, making a film for the first time,” she said in a post.

“The excitement was like the bloody scenes spewing out of my brain. After all, this would be my first time to collaborate with @chitorono, whose works have always left me in awe,” she added.
