Park Bo-gum and IU have been confirmed to headline a new series.

According to a report by Naver as translated by Soompi, the Korean stars will be headlining the drama titled You Have Done Well, which will be written by Im Sang Choon (Fight for My Way, When the Camellia Blooms) and directed by Kim Won Seok (My Mister, Signal) according to production company Pan Entertainment.

You Have Done Well tells the story of two people born on Jeju island in the 1950s named Ae Soon and Gwan Shik.

IU will play the role of Ae Soon, a poor and rebellious woman who is full of positivity and dreams of becoming a poet someday despite not being able to go to school.

Meanwhile, Bo-gum will play the role of Gwan Shik, a diligent and timid man who loves Ae Soon from the very start but has no experience when it comes to romance.

The series is set to start production in the first half of the year.

Bo-gum last appeared in a drama in Record of Youth in 2020. Other series of Bo-gum include Encounter in 2018, Love in the Moonlight in 2016, and Reply 1998 in 2015.

In 2022, he hosted the MAMA Awards and starred in the reality TV show Young Actor's Retreat.

He completed his mandatory military service in May 2022.

Meanwhile, IU last appeared in a television series in 2019 in the fantasy drama Hotel Del Luna.

She also starred in My Mister in 2018 and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo in 2016.

In 2021, she released her fifth studio album called Lilac. 

In 2022, IU headlined her solo concert called The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun. She became the first Korean female artist to have a concert at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.
