Making their debut in the UAAP Season 87 softball tournament, the Lady Falcons claimed the abbreviated win after capitalizing on UST's defensive miscues and stringing together clutch hits in the decisive sixth, piling on six runs to put the game away.

"Ang sabi ko lang sa kanila kanina, whatever we score, dapat maniwala lang tayo na a win is still a win. Ang importante lang ngayon is kung ano 'yung kakulangan namin, i-work out pa namin para maging better kami. Lucky for us, sa totoo lang, ang pagkapanalo namin dito may halong swerte. At the time na kailangan namin (mag-advance), doon naman nag-error ang UST," said long-time head coach Ana Santiago.
