Vice President Sara Duterte gave an update on her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, on June 3, 2025, after spending time with him at the International Criminal Court detention facility in The Hague.

The Vice President thanked the ICC Detention Unit for adding more days for family and allowed visitors to come and see the former president.

She said she updated her father on her birthday celebration with Duterte supporters last May 31.

"Sabi ko, we had 10 speakers, at madami ang pumunta, at madami ang nagpakita ng supporta, at madami ang nalasing. Madami ang nalasing, at madami ang nabusog sa sobrang dami ng pagkain din. Madami ang nabusog at madami ang mixed feelings dahil nakakalungkot na nagsama-sama tayo dahil nakakulong si Pangulong Duterte, pero sobrang saya dahil nakikita mo yung pagkakaisa ng sobrang daming Pilipino for a single cause, and that is requesting ICC to send PRRD home," she said.

The Vice President said she will be returning to the Philippines very soon while her father's common-law wife, Honeylet, will be going to The Hague.

She declined to comment on her impeachment case on the advice of her legal team but noted she had questions if the impeachment case, which was filed in the 19th Congress, is allowed to cross over into the 20th Congress.
