MANILA (UPDATED) — Sen. Imee Marcos confirmed Wednesday there are several draft resolutions were seeking to dismiss the articles of impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte, while Senate officials said nothing had been filed yet.

Marcos said she saw several versions of the draft resolutions and added that nothing was final.

"One of the many drafts, na iba-iba ang pakay — parang pangatlo yan sa nakita ko, maraming versions, lahat ay naghahanap ng pinakamabisa at pinaka naaayon sa batas na solusyon, yung walang butas," Marcos told reporters in a text message.

Senator-Elect Panfilo Lacson, a judge in the impeachment trial of then Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona, said in a release that he has received a copy of the draft resolution, which he said is being passed around among senators.

"If it gets enough signatures, it can be debated upon and possibly adopted if it has the support of the majority," he said.

Senate President Pro Tempre Jinggoy Estrada later confirmed that a printed resolution seeking the dismissal of the impeachment articles against Duterte had been circulated as early as Monday among senators. But he believes there were no signatures yet on the document.

Estrada said he was discussing the matter with his lawyers.

"It has been in circulation since Monday. I saw it," Estrada said, adding he was only asked to read, but not sign it yet.

"Marami nga mga umuugong uugong na chismis nga tungkol doon. I just confirmed it last Monday na meron nga mga reso na umiikot na but I don't think may mga pumirma," he said.

Estrada said once a resolution is filed, the Senate could act on it. However, there is no value to the resolution if the Senate does not act on it.

"Lalo na ngayon, wala pa naman fina-file. So hindi naman natin pwedeng pag-usapan na yan dahil hindi naman na napapa-file yan eh. That does not carry any weight," he said.

Sen. Joel Villanueva said he only saw the resolution from a media group chat.

"Saw a copy of that alleged reso from our group chat. Dun sa Senate Media group chat. So that was the first time na nakita ko yung reso. In fact, di ko nga binasa the whole time. Tinignan ko lang yung title," he said.

Senate Secretary Renato Bantug Jr. said no such measure has been filed with the Senate Bills and Index, as of this posting.

"I just had it checked sa Bills and Index, wala naman daw ganyang resolution," he said.

Senate President Francis Escudero also said no such measure was filed as of Tuesday night.

Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel III said he doubts the authenticity of the supposed resolution circulating on social media.

"Flawed logic. Big chance not authentic. Even quotation of the constitutional provision is not accurate," Pimentel told media.

DELA ROSA, GO MUM

Senators Risa Hontiveros and Cynthia Villar said they have not seen the supposed draft resolution.

“Wala pa akong nakikitang ganoon,” Hontiveros said in a chance interview.

“Wala,” Villar said.

Senators Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa and Bong Go were mum on the issue.

“Meron ba?” Dela Rosa asked.

Go refused to answer.

Lacson said that any resolution would need adoption by the Senate in plenary, adding senators who do sign it might change their minds when it is put to a vote.

"It is still possible that someone files a petition with the Supreme Court questioning the resolution, and the Supreme Court compels the Senate to convene into an impeachment court," he also said.
