In a statement released Saturday, Commissioner Willie Marcial said the league will act jointly with the NBI to probe on the successive messages left by netizens on Abarrientos and his partner's social media account.

Among the messages received by Abarrientos was a threat to "gun them down" after the netizen allegedly lost a huge sum of money following Ginebra's 108-104 loss against Meralco in Game 2 of the quarterfinals.
