Good friends Bella Belen and Detdet Pepito shared an emotional moment at the hallway of the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday night, hours after the conclusion of the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament.

Belen and the National University Lady Bulldogs emerged triumphant over Pepito and the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses, claiming a 25-23, 23-25, 27-25, 25-16 win in Game 2 to complete a two-game sweep of the Finals series.

There were no hard feelings after the game between Belen and Pepito, with the pair instead reflecting on how far they have come since playing together in grade school.

"Wag ka na umiyak!" Belen told the UST libero, before hugging her friend. 

She drew laughs from Pepito when Belen said: "Ang nasa utak ko noong lamang kayo, sabi ko, parang mamo-move pa 'yung pag-Vikings namin."

Pepito said she hopes that she and Belen can go even further in their volleyball careers.

"Sana pagpatuloy lang natin ang passion natin sa paglalaro ng volleyball," she said. "And sana 'wag tayong mapagod sa pag-pursue ng dream."

The UAAP Season 86 championship is NU's second in three seasons, after a perfect campaign in Season 84. Before clinching the title, Belen was named the season's Most Valuable Player and Best Open Spiker, while Pepito took home Best Libero honors for the second straight season.
