MANILA—It's now official: he can proudly tell the world, 'Akin 'to.'

Paul Desiderio, the man who gifted the University of the Philippines (UP) community the "Atin 'to" basketball battlecry, is now engaged to be married to his longtime girlfriend, Agatha Uvero.

Via Uvero's Instagram, it was revealed that she and Desiderio, who led the Fighting Maroons to their first finals appearance in the UAAP for more than three decades in 2018, got hitched Saturday.

In a photo she shared showing off her ring, Uvero, a former courtside reporter for UP, wrote: "No rebounds and a lifetime of assists. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

Desiderio, famous for his "Atin 'To" line, which became a mantra for aspiring for greatness, captained the Fighting Maroons in their historic run to the UAAP finals last year, where they met the Ateneo Blue Eagles. He now plays for Blackwater in the PBA.
