In the past eight years that he’s been in the local entertainment scene, Ronnie Alonte is able to prove that he’s indeed more than just a pretty face, as he also got the impressive skills that he’s able to showcase through his television appearances.

And as he’s about to embark on another exciting project this year, Pira-Pirasong Paraiso, which serves as one of the first-ever teleserye collaborations between ABS-CBN and TV5, let us look back on his TV stints through the years that have been helpful to him in developing and continuously honing his talents, especially in acting.

Those who have been following his showbiz career would certainly know that he started out in 2015 as one of the members of Hashtags, the popular in-house boyband of It’s Showtime, which allowed him to show off his skills in dancing, hosting, and even singing. On that same year, he had his acting debut via Maalaala Mo Kaya, as he appeared in its episodes titled “Picture” and “Banana Split.”

He went on to score more gigs in the long-running drama anthology in the following year as he appeared in three more episodes, namely, “Traysikel,” “Motorsiklo,” and “Sulat.” But he arguably shone the brightest when he portrayed himself in the “Motorsiklo” episode that chronicled his own life story.

Ronnie had his teleserye debut in the 2017 primetime series A Love To Last, wherein he charmed us as Tupe, the love interest of Julia Barretto’s character Chloe. It was succeeded by his stint in the “Pikon” episode of Ipaglaban Mo, through which he’s able to display his versatility as an actor as he took on the role of Jun, who got incarcerated for murdering JK Labajo’s character Lemuel.

In 2018, he was paired for the first time with reel-and-real-life sweetheart Loisa Andalio in Wansapanataym Presents “Gelli In A Bottle,” playing the role of her admirer Robin. The following year, they once again got teamed up in the MMK “Jersey” episode, wherein he portrayed esteemed former University of the Philippines (UP) varsity basketball player Paul Desiderio, and in the action-drama series The General’s Daughter, in which he swooned viewers as Ivan.

After a year of taking a break because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ronnie returned to acting in 2021 through the iWantTFC originals series “Unloving U” and “The Goodbye Girl,” which he both starred alongside girlfriend Loisa.

And last 2022, he and Loisa were bestowed their first-ever teleserye in lead roles via Love In 40 Days, wherein he played the role of Edward Montemayor, a stubborn young man who has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts, such as Loisa’s character Jane.

Are you excited as us to see Ronnie in a different light as Jonaf Salvador? Well, you better not miss an episode of Pira-pirasong Paraiso once it begins this coming July 25! It will be aired Mondays to Saturdays after It’s Showtime on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
