Maceda also pointed out that the Comelec website "never" became a source of the results since "it only reflected the election returns as they come in."

"The reason nga kung bakit ang Comelec ay hindi naman pwedeng maglabas ng kahit anong resulta tungkol sa mga senatorial at party lists dahil we have to wait for the provinces na makumpuni ang resulta ng municipalities within their provinces, so that they themselves can have their own provincial canvass, which they will in turn send to us" Maceda sain in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

"So there are 83 provinces we are waiting for, and 93 foreign posts we are waiting for. Some of them have already come in," he continued.

Maceda also reminded politicians to refrain from prematurely proclaiming victory.

"Kaliwa't kanan na rin 'yung tumatawag at nagtatanong kung pwede na bang magproklama. Hindi ka pwede magproclaim ng kandidato until at least 90 percent of the returns are in," he said.
