The HAGUE - Who did overseas Filipino voters in The Netherlands pick in the 2025 Philippine midterm elections?

According to the Commission on Elections dashboard, a total of 516 out of nearly 2,700 registered overseas Filipino voters in The Netherlands cast their votes in the May 12 elections.

Clustered precinct ID 93170001 had the highest number of voters who participated in Monday’s polls at 501.

Top vote-getters in the senatorial race in that clustered precinct include:

The Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) ended the canvassing of votes at 6.58 p.m. (Netherlands time) on Tuesday, May 13. Led by Chairperson and Ambassador Eduardo Malaya, the SBOC began the official canvassing of votes at around 5 p.m.

The canvassing was delayed due to the late arrival of the Canvassing and Consolidation System from the Commission on Elections which was only received in the morning of May 13.

Meanwhile, the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) successfully transmitted the election returns to the Manila servers in the afternoon of May 12, hours after the casting of ballots ended.

Former president Rodrigo Duterte is currently detained at the International Criminal Court in The Hague on charges of murder as a crime against humanity. Duterte won the Davao mayoral contest on Monday, with eight times more votes than his nearest rival.
