Authorities in Arapahoe County, Colorado, are searching for three suspects who stole two bulldog puppies from a pet store using a staged medical emergency as a distraction.

The theft happened on Sunday (February 23) at Perfect Pets store in Centennial. Investigators say the suspects entered separately, walked around, and spoke with employees. They asked about two bulldog puppies, each priced at $4,299 and kept in a secured pen near the back of the store.

One suspect then collapsed, faking a seizure. As employees rushed to help, another suspect removed the top of the pen, grabbed both puppies, and ran.
