MANILA — A 65-year-old man died after casting his vote for the midterm elections in Oas, Albay on Monday.

Police said that the man, identified as Nestor Rensales, initially told his wife that he felt dizzy. He fell unconscious right after he cast his vote at the Oas South Central Elem School around 6 a.m.

Ma Luisa A Tino said.

The victim was a stroke survivor and had starting lining up at the polling center as early as 5 a.m., said his wife Juana Rensales.

Sabi niya, kaya ko pa man aniya bumoto. Sayang ang boto, kaya nakapaboto pa siya," she said.

"Palagi kaming maaga...

The man was rushed to the Josefina Belmonte Duran Albay Provincial Hospital in Ligao City, but was pronounced dead-on-arrival.
