Bato, Go cast votes in midterm polls 

MANILA — Reelectionist Sens. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa and Christopher "Bong" Go cast their votes before noon on Monday as millions of Filipinos headed to the midterm polls.

Dela Rosa arrived at his polling precinct in Sta. Cruz town in Davao del Sur at around 10:30 a.m.

The former police chief checked the receipt issued by the automated counting machine to check if his votes were registered correctly. No discrepancy was discovered.

Dela Rosa thanked his partymates and supporters for their help with his reelection campaign.

He also warned of reported vote-buying incidents and told Filipinos not to sell their votes.

Meanwhile, Go, registered his vote at the San Jose Elementary School in Lupon town in Davao Oriental.

He was joined by his son Chrence Go, who is running for vice mayor of Lupon.

Dela Rosa and Go are candidates of the PDP Laban party, chaired by their long-time patron former President Rodrigo Duterte.
