MANILA — The Commission on Elections has affirmed the cancellation of Pilipinas Babangon Muli (PBBM) party-list’s registration for the 2025 elections. 

The Comelec Second Division in April cancelled the party-list’s registration due to misrepresentation for claiming to represent Calabarzon even though none of its top ten nominees were residents of the region. 

The poll body denied PBBM party-list’s motion for reconsideration, saying the group “violated the requirement that a regional party must have a regional constituency when it accepted and even fielded as nominees, members who are not from Calabarzon."

The party-list’s nominees were found to be from Abra, Cagayan, and Quezon City, Comelec earlier said.
