MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) approved on Tuesday its supplemental resolution declaring all election campaign areas, including online, as a "safe space" ahead of the May 2025 elections.

Under Comelec Resolution 11127 signed by all members of the Comelec en banc, it amended Resolution 11116 and defined election offenses that include child abuse, discrimination, incitement, immoral doctrines, obscene publications, exhibitions and indecent shows, and racial discrimination.

“Ang paggamit ng foul languages iiwasan, pag-discriminate as against women, as against elderly, as against PWDs, and other vulnerable sectors - hindi dapat ginagamit ang entablado at dapat iiwasan yung mga campaign jingles na may double meaning,” Garcia told the media.

All candidates, Comelec personnel, electoral boards, board of canvassers, and other election stakeholders are reminded by the commission to abide by its resolution.
