MANILA — Several senatorial candidates made rounds to visit different sectors and areas Sunday, April 6.

Former Sen. Kiko Pangilinan participated in the inauguration of KAWA Pilipinas community kitchen in Manila.

He also reiterated his proposal to provide free breakfast to public school students from kindergarten to senior high school.

Another Alyansa candidate, ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo met with families of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) who are part of the AID DALAW Nationwide Movement to discuss problems and issues being faced by inmates.

“Once elected to the Senate, we will file an inquiry in aid of legislation to ensure that the matters you raise are heard by the government. We will examine and consult the agencies concerned with PDLs’ welfare so we can craft the appropriate mechanisms to improve the situation of your loved ones,” Tulfo was quoted in his press release.

Meanwhile, Gabriela Partylist Rep. Arlene Brosas attended a general assembly in Barangay Lualhati, Baguio City, where she met with barangay officials, residents and community leaders.

She presented the "pro-people platform" of the Makabayan bloc and emphasized the need for legislation that "protects women against all forms of violence, ensures access to reproductive health services, and promotes equal opportunities in employment and education."

Senator Christopher "Bong" Go attended the inauguration ceremony of the Super Health Center in Pilar, Capiz.

He underscored his advocacy of creating more super health centers across the country to provide medical services to Filipinos in far-flung areas.

Meanwhile, Atty. Luke Espiritu, former Commissioner Heidi Mendoza and Atty. Sonny Matula attended a people's forum at the Science City of Muñoz in Nueva Ecija.
