"We are concerned with the recent kidnapping na pinatay, binayaran na ng ranson tapos pinatay pa si Anson Que, which was the first time this happened, so we are really deeply concerned and we want it solved as soon as possible," Pedro said.

"Kasi pag na-kidnap yung victim, pinapatestigo pa eh, natatakot yung victims, ayaw nila magtestigo kasi baka balikan sila... Matagal [din] yung court proceedings bago ma-convict ang kidnappers," said Pedro, who is the founder of Lamoiyan Corp., maker of a popular toothpaste brand.

"Negotiating with kidnappers is part of it pero kailangan mahuli, make it known na kidnapping is not a viable option. Gusto ko nga palitan yung law natin na yung penalty, dapat death penalty na ang ibigay sa kidnappers kasi nakakasira ito sa bayan," he said.
