(UPDATED) The Philippine Women's National Football Team stamped its class in Cambodia, dominating the host nation, 6-0, in the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers on Wednesday night at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.

With the win, the Filipinas have solidified their hold of the top spot in Group G, days after winning against Saudi Arabia, 3-0.

"To be honest, we watched Hong Kong against Cambodia. I was actually quite nervous to this game when we got the first and second goal, I thought we were doing good," said Meryll Serrano, who was one of the four Filipinas who scored for the visiting squad.

The national team is already eager to playing Hong Kong, their last task in the group, according to the midfielder.

"I mean, it’s been a good two games now and I think we just have to keep going. We have one more game against Hong Kong and we really wanna go and get all the points."

The visitors were already up with a comfortable 4-0 lead by halftime, as Alexa Pino had the screamer just at the 18th minute mark.

Serrano doubled it almost immediately, finding the back of the net a minute later after the restart for an early 2-0 separation.

She again scored for the Filipinas, catching Cambodian goalkeeper Chea Fariya off-guard as she nailed one from the halfway line, 36 minutes into the match.

The Philippines had a lucky break as a Sofia Wunsch cross turned to be an own goal for Cambodia as the home's goalkeeper wasn't able to push the ball away, gifting one point to the Filipinas.

Skipper Hali Long joined the scoring party as the game resumed for the second half, striking one just outside the box off a sweet long pass from Angie Beard.

Filipinas made it 6-0 as Chandler McDaniel found the conversion off a Carleigh Frilles cross at the 56th minute.

McDaniel had a chance to make it back-to-back goals from again another cross from Frilles, but could not find the angle for the kick.

Nina Mathelus and Sara Eggesvik had attempts at the 80th minute, but were saved by Cambodia's Fariya.

The country will battle Hong Kong next, scheduled for Saturday, July 5, at the same venue.
