MANILA — Re-electionist Sen. Imee Marcos said Sunday she has no idea if she is still included in the administration’s senatorial ticket.

Her response came after her non-inclusion in President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s endorsement speech at the campaign rally in Laguna Saturday, March 23, where he sought support for only 11 bets instead of complete 12.

Both the senator and Las Piñas Lone District Rep. Camille Villar were absent in the campaign sortie on Saturday, but Villar was mentioned by the president in his speech.

The older Marcos was omitted from Marcos Jr.’s endorsement speech in two consecutive campaign rallies. The presidential sister said she has yet to talk to her brother about the matter.

But she sees no problem with it, saying that she is now focused on her Senate investigation into the arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

Ang totoo okay lang,” the lawmaker said in a chance interview after attending a general assembly of a cooperative in Pasig City Sunday, March 23.

Parang mas mahalaga ‘yun at mas nakakakaba kaysa sa eleksyon, kampanya, pulitika,” she added.

The older Marcos also disclosed that the admin ticket’s campaign manager, Navotas Lone District Rep. Toby Tianngco has yet to reach out to her.

Tiangco earlier said the admin slate and the Nacionalista Party has no talks regarding the ‘future’ of the presidential sister and Villar which includes the potential dropping from the Alyansa banner.

NOT WITHDRAWN

The reelectionist senator also clarified that she has not officially withdrawn from the Alyansa slate.

“No, no action taken. But the reality is, kung maaalala niyo, simula’t sapul sinabi ko naman na independent ako. Kasi parang may kutob ako na may masamang mangyayari at ayoko mahila sa away-away,” she said.

When asked what would happen should the admin slate officially removed her from the ticket, Marcos said she’s “okay” with it.

VP ENDORSEMENT?

The presidential sister also answered whether she would still seek the endorsement of Vice President Sara Duterte.

She also addressed the critics of her Senate inquiry into the former president’s arrest.
