Manila Archbishop Cardinal Jose Advincula, together with Catholic faithful, gathered at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Manila on Friday, to pray for Pope Francis’ healing, seeking divine intervention for his recovery. 

The event is part of a nationwide call for prayers initiated by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), uniting the faithful in a collective act of devotion and solidarity. 

Pope Francis spent another night without incident, the Vatican said on Friday, marking a week in the hospital for the 88-year-old pontiff suffering from pneumonia in both lungs.
