The House of Representatives on Thursday granted furlough to Gina Acosta, the Special Disbursing Officer of the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

The furlough was served by staff from the Legislative Security Bureau under the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC), where Acosta is currently confined.

Acosta and OVP Chief of Staff Zuleika Lopez are both currently confined at the VMMC.

Acosta was rushed to the VMMC last November 25 during the hearing of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability.

Meanwhile, Lopez was admitted following a panic attack, shortly after the House of Representatives issued an order for her transfer to the Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong.
