Adapting workouts for every role

Fitness is not just about appearance for Park Seo Jun. It is part of his routine and a foundation for his well-being. "It keeps me grounded," Park Seo Jun said. When asked about his inspiration, he keeps it simple. "No one in particular. Staying strong, maintaining wellness, and being healthy makes you happy."

For action-packed roles, he goes all in. Boxing, taekwondo, weight training—he commits fully to whatever is required. For Gyeongseong Creature, he balanced historical dialogue with demanding physical training. Back in Fight for My Way, he trained for eight hours daily and remained consistent until filming ended.

His routine shifts depending on his workload. When filming, his days start early and stretch long, with workouts squeezed in whenever possible. "Even if it is just 30 minutes, I make it count."

Even on set, he finds ways to stay active. While filming Youn's Kitchen, he jogged early in the morning around Tenerife, Spain. During Gyeongseong Creature, he squeezed in push-ups between takes. "There is always a way to train, no matter how busy I am."

On breaks, he stays active in different ways—biking, hiking, and exploring. In London, he cycled for 30 minutes from Camden to the Thames to see the London Eye. In Iceland, he hiked snowy trails with friends. "It is the best way to experience a place."

His top three strengths? "Discipline, patience, adaptability." The same qualities that fuel his fitness journey.

After an intense training session, he focuses on recovery with a balanced meal, usually a bowl of rice, vegetables, and a good source of protein like Century Tuna. "Post-workout nutrition loaded with protein is important. It helps with muscle recovery and keeps my body strong," he shared.

Whether preparing for an action role or maintaining his daily routine, he makes mindful choices. "I enjoy simple, healthy meals that fuel me properly," he said, emphasizing how a well-balanced diet supports his active lifestyle.
