The Bureau of Internal Revenue is advising all taxpayers to ‘pay as you file’ their income tax returns on or before April 15, 2025 to avoid penalties.

Taxpayers can file their annual income tax returns electronically using the BIR's e-filing facilities via electronic BIR Forms (eBIRForms) or the Electronic Filing and Payment system (eFPS).

BIR Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui, Jr. said the bureau is committed to making tax filing and payment more convenient “by ensuring that our e-Filing Center and Revenue District Office (RDO) eLounges are available to assist taxpayers every step of the way.”

He said taxpayers can file their annual ITRs and pay the full income tax on the same day of filing. Taxpayers may use available tax payment channels such as authorized agent banks and revenue collection officers and various electronic platforms like Maya, GCash and MYEG “for a smooth and hassle-free experience,” he said.

The BIR’s RDO eLounge facility will be open to assist taxpayers without internet access in the e-filing of their AITRs.

An Electronic Filing (e-Filing)/Tax Assistance Center will be established at the BIR National Training Center Auditorium to provide assistance to those who will file their taxes. The center will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting March 24 to April 15.
