MANILA -- Pag-IBIG Fund said it released P130 billion in home loans in 2024.

In a statement, the state-led home financing firm said it lent P129.73 billion to help its members build or buy 90,616 houses.

Of these, P20.17 billion helped build 17,719 homes for low-income earners.

“In 2024, one in every 10 homes financed through Pag-IBIG was a socialized housing unit, helping 9,082 minimum-wage earners secure a home of their own,” said Pag-IBIG Fund chief executive officer Marilene Acosta.

Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar  of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said this stresses the agency's commitment to making home ownership affordable for more Filipinos.

"As we gain momentum with the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, we continue to provide stronger social protection and improve the lives of more Filipinos," he said.

The state-owned corporation earlier said it gave P126 billion in home loans in 2023.
