Some female members have accused Quiboloy of molestation, alleging the pastor said it was their way of getting into heaven.
The Department of Justice on Friday said alleged victims of Quiboloy who wanted to testify against him could be admitted to the government’s witness protection program.
“Pwedeng pwede silang masali sa Witness Protection Program,” DOJ Undersecretary Nicholas Felix Ty said in a televised briefing.
He noted that the DOJ offered witness protection to Amanda, who was among the first to accused Quiboloy of sexual abuse during a Senate hearing.
Quiboloy and his co-accused surrendered to authorities last Sunday, more than 2 weeks after police raided the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound in Buhangin, Davao City to serve his arrest warrant.
Quiboloy’s day in court was a “big step” towards serving justice, Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros said.
Hontiveros chairs the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality which led the investigation on Quiboloy on January 23, February 19, and March 5 this year.
