MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. has ordered the Department of Health (DOH) to foot the bill on Friday, Sept. 13, of all patients at level-3 public hospitals in celebration of his birthday.

"The DOH, in celebration of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.'s birthday today, and upon instructions and funding from [him], will cover all inpatient, outpatient and emergency medical services today, September 13, 2024, in level three public hospitals," the DOH announced.

• Marcos marks Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

These include the hospital bill; drugs and medicines; laboratory and diagnostic procedures; dental services; implants; therapy and rehabilitative services; chemotherapy; and dialysis.

HOW TO AVAIL?

The DOH patients will be interviewed first by the Medical Social Services (MSS) of the hospital.

After MSS assessment and evaluation, medical assistance will be provided through the DOH Medical Assistance for Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP) program.

Marcos turned 67 on Friday.
