MANILA — The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) on Tuesday urged the Department of Education (DepEd) to provide supplemental budget to schools for its conduct of end-of-school year activities, such as graduation and moving-up ceremonies.

This follows DepEd’s instruction to schools to administer those activities in indoor venues. Another option is to adjust the time of the program so that the attendees will not have to bear with the scorching heat.
