“We take this seriously. We don’t leave anything to chance. Ang ibig sabihin lang nito, all hands, lahat nandito tapos may mga augmentees pa din tayo from different uniformed services,” Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Director Edgar Posadas said in a media briefing on Sunday.

The NDRRMC has prepositioned over P3.4 billion in standby funds for food and non-food items for the affected individuals, according to Posadas.

As of May 26, the NDRRMC reported that at least 513 families or equivalent to 2,734 individuals were affected by the typhoon in Bicol and Eastern Visayas regions over flooding and landslide.

At least 38 families or 708 individuals are taking temporary shelter in eight evacuation centers, while others opted to stay with their relatives or friends.

Air and sea travel to and from some areas have been suspended for traveler safety, with thousands stranded at parts since Saturday.
