MANILA -- Authorities expect to collect tons of garbage at the Manila Memorial Park for Undas 2024.

According to Engr. Rizalyn Acosta, Asst. Manager for Park Operations of the Manila Memorial Park, they usually allocate 60 trucks of garbage for waste collection from October 20 to November 10.

The memorial park has a contractor that hauls truckloads of garbage collected from the cemetery.

They have also assigned 100 personnel to clean the memorial park.

Per truck po is 13 cubic meters.

The Parañaque City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) is also helping in cleaning the cemeteries in Parañaque.

Nagbibigay naman po sila," says Julieta Del Castillo, timekeeper from the Parañaque City CENRO.

Some cemetery-goers like Marilyn Arce, 64, took the initiative to bring their own garbage bags to maintain cleanliness at their dearly departed’s grave.

As of 11 am, November 2, 63,281 cemetery-goers have visited the Manila Memorial Park.
