The Department of Health (DOH) has deployed Health Emergency Response Teams (HERTs) to evacuation centers in Albay, Camarines Sur, Matnog Port, and other areas devastated by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

"Nabigyan ng mga hygiene kits, iba’t ibang klase ng mga gamot at konsultasyon ang ilang mga evacuees matapos ang initial assessment sa kanila sa ilang evacuation centers," the DOH said in a Facebook post.

The agency shared some local Emergency Operations Center and Patient Navigation Referral units are open 24/7 to monitor other areas in the regions that need additional help.

Meantime, Health Sec. Ted Herbosa said three DOH Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Teams (PEMAT) are ready to be deployed, as these groups are experts in medical services during disasters, such as typhoons and earthquakes.
