On the eve of International Human Rights Day (Dec. 10), human rights group Karapatan-Metro Manila offered free hugs and kisses to the public at the solidarity fasting center in Mendiola, Manila on Friday.

The move was a call for President Rodrigo Duterte to show "love and support" to their plea for the release of all 400 political prisoners in the country.

The activity is part of the week-long fasting protest of political prisoners and their relatives and supporters which started last December 3. It will be lifted in the time for the major Human Rights Day protest on Saturday from Liwasang Bonifacio to Mendiola.
