The Insider Reason Why Thai Star Pond Naravit Is the Face of Ever Bilena's New Daily Dose Line

Ever Bilena capped off June with a blast, unveiling their newest drop, the “Daily Dose” collection, solidifying their status of delivering quality, affordable beauty essentials for every Filipina.

Pond NaravitEver Bilena has been known for bringing trailblazer ambassadors to its line-up of makeup and skincare products. They previously appointed K-pop star Chanyeol in 2023. Now Ever Bilena has heightened its roster of well-loved celebrities by introducing Thai actor Pond Naravit as its new face for the "Daily Dose" collection.

In an exclusive interview with METRO, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Ever Bilena, Denice Sy, shared the story behind Pond's appointment for Ever Bilena, the meticulous process Daily Dose products undergo, and the idea pitching of the collection on the board.

Pond's selection was not an easy journey. According to Denice, it was difficult for the team to search for a new ambassador who would embody the essence and values of Ever Bilena. They needed to look for different stars that would reflect the contemporary aspect Ever Bilena portrays:

“Ever Bilena has always been a trailblazer when it comes to brand ambassadors, and we wanted to continue it. So after we had Chanyeol, we felt like the next endorser would be just as [as big as him.] We cannot find a foreign person who could match this level. So we looked elsewhere, where there is also an equally strong fan base and a very aspirational image. Until we came across one," Denice elaborated.

Denice also added Pond’s loving characteristics and his large influence in the Philippines, saying, “We saw how loyal the fanbase Pond has. He was also very genuine, energetic, and young. Then, we felt that it matched the vibe of Ever Bilena [now]. He also appeals to many people. So when we saw him, we got inspired to get him, kasi we saw how much he is loved.” 

Why “Daily Dose?”

Ever Bilena is a trailblazer in the Filipino beauty scene. Almost every Filipino knows what Ever Bilena is, and has most likely owned a product or two from the cosmetics brand. Supporting Filipinas by boosting confidence through affordable beauty products has always been the core value of Ever Bilena. With the beauty shift, their products aren’t only skincare-infused makeup but also come with protection.

“At Ever Bilena, we’re a strong advocate of wearing SPF every single day, and then we realize, we have so many skincare-infused makeup products, but not anything with SPF yet. ‘Yung strong talaga kasi the SPF we only have are SPF 6, 11, 15, but nothing na pang everyday na usually you’re protected by the sun,” Denice shared.

The Ever Bilena Daily Dose Perfecting Skin Tint

In everything we do, whether developing new makeup or sketching a design, the beginning of an idea is always the hardest part. So, how did Ever Bilena come up with the idea? Especially that its name echoes a joyful sound: 

“So when we were brainstorming, we said, ‘We want them to use this every day,' and then something that brings happiness. So we said, ‘Why not Daily Dose? Like, a daily dose of happiness.’ Kasi, when we say ‘dose’, it usually means something that infuses you with joy and nourishment. So, the perfect name is “EB Daily Dose.” It’s a daily dose of every single joy.” Denice explained.

Ever Bilena has long been known for providing makeup products that perform well and last. No flattery–just facts! Many of its loyal consumers continue to repurchase their well-loved beauty staples. With Daily Dose expected to make its mark and be just as successful as some of their standout products, Denice shares the meticulous production process it went through and the careful planning that went into the collection before its release.

“All these, parang it took a long time, almost a year and a half, for most of it. The longest is the powder foundation. Kasi, when we have SPF infused in powder foundation, there’s a whitecast, and then, very important for me, that it didn’t have a flashback. So it took a long time, and it was also harder to test SPF in a powder because it’s not in liquid format.” 

Denice’s Personal Favorites

Denice frequently shares her active lifestyle on social media, attesting to the quality of the product before it landed on the market. She told us that she uses some of Daily Dose products and has few personal favorites–using it even after exercising leaves her skin looking fresh, saying, “My favorite, honestly, right now, what I use every day now, is the sunscreen and the skin tint.”

With Denice as the number one ambassador for the caliber of the Daily Dose collection, will it be considered a workout-friendly makeup and skincare collection? Denice clarified:

“For me, it’s workout-friendly, but siyempre, when you sweat a lot like the workout I did recently, you need to reapply. What I like about it is that after I patted myself with a towel, it (the product) didn't fall out that much.”

Standing strong for many years, Ever Bilena isn't slowing down anytime soon. Their iconic products served different generations from across the country and will continue to do so. Our moms, aunts, and sisters used it during their younger years, and up until today, they testify that Ever Bilena positively changed the trajectory of the beauty scene in the country. Along with the local beauty industry's modernization, Ever Bilena plans to stay on track by listening to its consumers and employees, consequently, without altering the distinguishable branding Ever Bilena has: 

"Ever Bilena is proudly advocating #ForEveryBeauty. We really want to be a product that every Filipina will enjoy and love. Regardless of any stage in their lives or whatever generation they are from. But we do enjoy [making] exciting products, and our marketing team now has a solid Gen Z population. The majority of our marketing is already Gen Z. So they give me so much energy and excitement, and they have so many bright ideas.” Denice expressed. 

What about the beloved products from Ever Bilena? Would it follow the wave of reformulation to compete with other products? Denice answered, “‘Yung mga OGs namin. Even now, Gen Zs use it and say that their aunts and ate used it, and it’s still the same formula. But for these [Daily Dose], we have become more experimental, and that’s why the packaging is different. We tried to experiment without alienating [our products] to our users.”
