It's been a flurry of domestic activity for one of our favorite K-Drama couples, Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin. For all #BinJin fans out there, here’s a recap on what’s been happening with our favorite couple lately.

Last March 31, 2022, the couple had a private and intimate wedding ceremony after two years of being in a relationship. Then, the two journeyed off on their honeymoon in Los Angeles. Not long after, about three months since their wedding, Son Ye-jin made an exciting announcement on her Instagram that she was pregnant with their first child.

Most recently, Ye-jin has been sharing photos of the food she has prepared at home, as she recently picked up a new hobby of cooking. She shared that lately, she has been cooking dishes that she doesn’t get to make often. Now that Ye-jin is feeding for herself, Hyun Bin and their baby, she is putting in that little extra effort to eat well and stay healthy.

'I cook a lot of dishes that I haven't done before. I feel so proud when I think I'm cooking for the first time. Everyone who cooks well is amazing,' Son Ye-Jin shares on her Instagram account as a caption to one of her most recent posts with a gallery of food.

Whether or not you're new in the kitchen, here are 4 bonus tips to help you keep it organized:

Plan how you want your kitchen to be organized first before actually starting the process.

If you’re moving into a new apartment or home, and the kitchen space is still empty, start planning the organization of your kitchen first before doing anything else. Just like how the design process starts with a plan, a key to organizing your kitchen and keeping it organized is a plan, which will contain exactly how you envision the arrangement and placement of the food and kitchen tools to be like. Having a plan will ease you into the next steps of organizing your kitchen, which is probably to buy the kitchen tools and cooking accessories you will need.

If you’re trying to reorganize your home kitchen, on the other hand, then it’s best that you first clear out your cabinets and drawers so that you start on a clean state. This way, you’re also able to give your cabinets and drawers a good clean for a fresh start to your kitchen. Of course, you’re not to throw away everything in your kitchen; just throw out expired food and keep the ones that can still be consumed.

Utilize kitchen organization tools to create a cleaner look for your kitchen.

This may be a little self-explanatory, and quite an obvious hack, but going the extra mile to try out various organization tools will actually be very beneficial to you and your kitchen in the long run. From food containers to baskets to shelves or racks, these tools will make it easier for you to find things at a quicker and more efficient manner, in the same way that it will be easier for you to store them away without forgetting where you’ve left them in the future. Having these tools will also help you maximize the space that you have at home.

Classify food according to their respective categories, and start organizing them from there.

Whilst kitchen organization tools will already bring your kitchen to be a cleaner and more efficient one, it doesn’t stop there. Classifying the food you have at home and organizing them according to their respective food groups will take your kitchen organization to another level. It’s not enough to just have the things in your kitchen looking organized aesthetically, because if your food is not organized well, then it may be difficult for you to efficiently find the right ingredients for your meals. It’s best to sort out your food into groups and then arrange them by group so that, similar to the last hack, you’re able to find things quicker.

Organize your kitchen in a way that is most comfortable and efficient for you.

Taking into consideration all of the previous tips and hacks, this last one is especially important to make your kitchen organization really benefit you in the long run. Choosing an organization system that is best suited for you is the most important tip to remember because after all, you are going to be the one using your kitchen. You may try out various organizational techniques to see which ones work with you best, and you may explore different arrangements in your kitchen to find the perfect one for your taste. Overall, make sure that your organization system in your kitchen is as accessible to you as possible so that it can serve your needs as efficiently as possible.
