Influencer Cat Arambulo took to social media to apologize after getting flak for her remarks amid the floods caused by typhoon Carina.

On Instagram, Arambulo said she is sorry for her "insensitivity" and promised to teach her kids to "be more socially aware and active."

Last week, the socialite was called out by netizens, including actress Bela Padilla, after she was heard asking in a video if she and her children could put a "floatie" and a "wakeboard" in the middle of a flood.

"I deeply apologize for my insensitivity and my actions, especially during a time of crisis," said Arambulo, who has since deleted her viral video. "I hear you and I will use this as a learning opportunity for myself and to teach my kids to be more socially aware and active." 

"I am now focusing my efforts on providing relief to different communities," she added. "My prayers go out to everyone affected."

Back in 2020, Arambulo faced backlash for her rant against workers who got stranded amid COVID-19 lockdowns. 

She publicly apologized on Twitter, saying that she should have been "more considerate of others who are trying to cope with this crisis."
