MANILA  -- Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Rian Bacalla formerly known as Ryan James Bacalla took to social media to share her transformation journey.

In a Facebook post, Bacalla posted a then-and-now photo of herself when she joined the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother 737 edition in 2015 as an openly gay teenager and with her recent look as a woman.

"9 years ago today was the time I went inside the Pinoy Big Brother ABS-CBN house as a teen housemate. I was once a gay not totally accepted by my family and years forward," she wrote in the caption.

According to Bacalla, a lot of things have changed since she joined the Kapamilya reality show but one thing has not changed.

"I've blossomed into a lady that I am now today. A lot has changed since then. But one thing is for sure, I'll forever be your KID SUNSHINE NG CEBU," she ended.

Bacalla is among the candidates for the upcoming "Queen of Cebu City Pride 2024" as she represents Barangay Labangon in Cebu City.
